I am a 30 year old man. I have deep seated shoulder pain for the past 1 year. started after a work accident where my left shoulder was forcefully pushed backward while supporting against a heavy container. I felt as if my left shoulder was dislocated and started to have deep seated left shoulder pain when performing overhead activity. What should I do?

From your description it is clear that the onset of pain was due to the shoulder dislocation. Henceforth make sure that you don't to any activity that may cause your shoulder to dislocate again. Cut down on activities that involves overhead movements or lifting heavy objects. You can give hot fomentation to the affected region to help you with the pain. It is also necessary that you do basic shoulder exercises to strengthen your shoulder muscles. You should consult a physiotherapist to help you plan an exercise routine.
