Do children with hip dysplasia feel pain?

Developmental dysplasia of the hip does not cause pain. However if left untreated it can cause lasting hip problems. Common symptoms seen are : affected joint may be feel loose or slips out on examination, extra fold of skin on affected side, one leg may appear shorter than other, wal with a limp, walk on toes with heel up off the ground.
