Accepting bisexuals

Initiating Acceptance of Bisexuals

To make the bisexual community acceptable, it is important to stop differentiating them from the other heterosexual communities. Allowing the bisexuals to be a part of the whole society is the best way to show your acceptance. It is going to be very hard for the traditional heterosexual community that the bisexuals can live happily in their monogamous marriage and they have the same type of life together just as the normally living heterosexuals. There is no way, in which anyone can change the way bisexuals can think and that is why it is very important that they should be accepted as normal human being who live in the society, raise their own children and contribute as regular people in the development and progress of human society.

With the celebrities coming out in the open with their bisexual status, society has at least started giving a keen ear to what these people want to say. When Lady Gaga stated that gays, bisexuals and lesbians are born the way they are, the media highlighted it in bold making the society take serious note of it.

Bisexuals are normal people who are different from the rest in only one aspect; that they are attracted to people of both the type of sex.

Husband or Wife?

In heterosexual community, male is the husband and female is the wife. This dictum has been prevailing since long. However, when two people of same sex live under one roof as couple the traditional community wants to know who is wife and who is husband. It is important when two bisexuals live together to let them decide who is to play the role of what. It is not necessary that there should be a husband or a wife. Most of the bisexual couples divide their duties and since there is no gender bias, the two women or the two men can expect equally from each other and also pursue their careers with the same dedication.

Accepting Children of bisexual Couple

This is another important aspect of bisexual life. Children of these parents are usually adopted or born out of their earlier marriage to heterosexual people or through surrogate mothers. In case of lesbians, most of them buy sperms from the semen bank and either of the lesbian gives birth to the child. The society might find it difficult to accept such children; but if they can accept adoption, then the concept of surrogate mother and using semen of other men to give birth in the heterosexuals, can raise normal children. It is equally possible that lesbian and gay children are conceived in this way, when a person is living in a bisexual household. But It is high time that people broaden their views and accept the new inclusion of bisexual community as a part of one society without differentiating them into another group.
