I had it examined or looked at a year or so ago , the surgeon said nothing was broken, the x-ray was clear , but that id probably damaged the nerves in the knuckle.i can use the hand normally , clench my hand etc - but i cannot punch even a punchbag without the knuckle stinging.the knuckle and the hand appears normal , except there's a slight indentation where the damaged nerves are.two surgeons basically told me that the nerves were damaged and nothing can be done to repair the nerves. inspite of that , i still plan to get a 3rd opinion to see if something can be done.i was wondering if anyone knows for certain that the surgeons are right ? can nothing be done to repair my knuckle ?Is it true that damaged nerves are unrepairable? |
