Hello Sir/madam, My Father,59 yrs, recently experienced blood coming out of nose(little amount). Did some test. The report are as follows:

 

NAME OT THE TEST: Hb%,TC,DC,Blood smear-abnormal cell study,platelet count,BT,CT

Haemoblobin- 9.6g/dl (cyanmethaemoglobin method : 15.06g/dl = 100%)

WBC count : 2400/cumm

Differential WBC count : Neutrophil 55%,lymphocytes 33%,Monocytes 07%,Eosinophils 05%,Basophils: 00%.

Blood Smear Morphology: 

RBC : Hypochromia +, macrocytes +.

WBC: reduced in number

Platelet : reduced in smear.

Blood smear abnormal cell study- NOT SEEN

Platelet Count- 78,000/cumm.   (ref. value 130000-400000)

BT (bleeding time) - 3min 59 sec (ref. value 1-5)

CT (Clotting Time) - 6 min 12 sec (ref. value 4-9).

Blood Sugar (pp) and Creatinine are within the Ref. value.

What does this Test results indicates? Please Help.

Hi,Nipu, Problem of bleeding from the nose in case of your father is, 1,low platelet count, 2,more clotting time and 3,more bleeding time. Due to these problem there is bleeding tendency of bleedinf from any part of the body including from internal organs which may be serious. Your father is also having Iron deficiency anemia which also requires attention. Rule out high blood pressure. Consult physician and start treatment as soon as possible. Ok and bye.
