Respected Doctor, I had started taking 2 glass of water daily in the morning the moment I get up. Then after as usual and as and when required. I take water minimum after one hour of having my breakfast, lunch and dinner. Same way, while going to bed, i take more than 1 glass full water. My question or worry is that after having water in the morning, I had go to urine regularly every half an hour for 2-3 hours or so. In the meantime, i also take my breakfast but donot take water. Sometimes will have liquid but none other liquid. Same is the case during night. I have to go to urine atleast 3 times, while inbetween the whole day, there is no problem of constantly going for urination. With this, I wud like to know am I suffering from Diabetes or is this the sign of diabetes. APart from the above I have no other physical problem. Awaiting your reply. Thanks and Regards / SUDHIR KRISHNAN

142. In type 1, the pancreas stop producing insulin, due to autoimmune response or possibly viral attack on pancreas. In absence of insulin, body cells does not get glucose for producing atp (adenosin triphosphate) units which results into primary symptom in the form of nausea and vomiting. In latter stage which leads to ketoacidosis in which body starts breaking down muscle tissue and fat for energy, there is consequently fast weight loss. Dehydration is also usually observed due to electrolyte disturbance. In advance stages even coma and death, are being witnessed.

For a year now i've had a small urine flow that continues without stopping. I don't have any problems like diabetes that i'm aware of. I don’t wanna have to talk to my parents about it yet, unless it's serious. I'm 15, and haven’t had my period yet. What could be wrong with me?

I'm just worried because my generation is diabetic and i am worried that i might have diabetes too. I eat really healthy! I workout almost everyday. I like to do balance workouts, martial arts, jog, and ab work. I used to be very over weight, i lost more than, but i am still worried though.

139. I recently started testing my blood sugar. It has been really high. Wed: 280 thurs: 284 fri: 257 sat: 265 today: 272. It might have a lot to do with have to do with me snacking or eating later in the evening around 9:00 or 10:00. I can't help it, its a bad habit. I also forget to take my meds too. I m not sure if i m suppose to wait to test like every 8 hours at least. Does it help if i wait longer? I normally test between 7:30 to 8:00 am.

It's been a month since i had a kidney infection. I was hospitalized and treated, and felt better! Since then, i have been drinking the correct amount of water everyday. I have a perfect iron count too. I think it might be back, is that possible ?

Specific dietary needs of a person with diabetes type 2?
Asked by : Anonymous in Diabetic Care .
I was diagnosed, years ago, as hypoglycemic. My doctor told me i'm not supposed to eat sugar. But over the years, friends of mine have been telling me i'm hyperglycemic. I'm so confused. What the crap do i have?!? I seriously don't trust my previous doctor.

I want to drastically limit my food intake. I am positive i have type 1 diabetes (peeing, extremely thirsty, starving, irritable, tired as heck) and all of this increases when i eat food.

I am going to be tested for diabetes. What should i expect? What type of tests will they be doing on me? Will i have to fast beforehand? And how long does it take?
Asked by : Anonymous in Diabetic Care .
If you're slim, do you have less of a chance of getting diabetes type 2? Having a lot of fat on your body can make a person get diabetes faster so i'm wondering if being slim is the opposite.
